Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse (WOCN)

The WOCN under the direction of the WOC Nurse Manager is responsible for the nursing care of patients from preemies to geriatric patients. The WOCN serves as a clinical resource and consultant to the nursing staff in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care to patients with ostomies, wounds, fistulas, incontinence or actual or potential for skin breakdown, as appropriate to the ages of those patients served. Sets standards of care for patients who need WOC Nursing.
Minimum Qualifications:
– BSN required. MSN preferred
– Current State of Georgia Registered Nurse license
– Board certified by the Wound Ostomy Continence Certification Board
– One year of clinical WOCN experience preferred
