Recently the inpatient team at Gwinnett Medical Center showed their support and helped bring awareness for heart disease in women by celebrating “Go Red Day”.

Each year more than 25,000 middle school students in Gwinnett County have the chance to take part in Junior Achievement BizTown and Finance Park, allowing them a hands-on opportunity to build work rediness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills.  GMC rehab staff Kristen Wilson and Shari Lewis volunteered this year.

Recently some of the ITC/Gwinnett Medical Center team participated in the second annual “Paint Gwinnett Pink” Run/Walk 5k at Coolray Field.

Paint Gwinnett Pink strives to provide funds to local hospital foundations to assist patients who have diagnosed with breast cancer, patients who are underinsured and under served in Georgia.  We do not believe anyone fighting for their lives against breast cancer should have to choose between a roof over their heads or the treatment they so desperately need.  PGP has found a vital area of immediate need that is not often being covered by other breast cancer organizations.

Some of the participants were: Sheela (Shah) Bodiwala, Katie Doss, and Kyanna Dixon.

Our Optim Healthcare – Screven clinic in Sylvania, GA is celebrating the upcoming solar eclipse on August 21st.
